Wase Werkplaats

Wase Werkplaats is a bespoke company that employs people who are distanced from the labor market. Wase Werkplaats was looking for a user-friendly, unified solution for the management and maintenance of their assets and the green division. In the end, they chose Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Field Service, integrated with their already existing ERP and CRM solution. Additionally, they use Power BI for reporting.

Who is Wase Werkplaats?

Wase Werkplaats is a sheltered workplace that employs people with a distance to the labor market. The company has three divisions: W-pharma, W-technics and W-green. W-pharma focuses on assembly and packaging solutions for healthcare and life sciences. W-technics is all about technical customization for the industry and W-green focuses on sustainable green management for public authorities and local industry.

Need for a user friendly solution

Wase Werkplaats needed a program in which they could manage their assets for maintenance and from which automatic orders could be generated. "That's why we started looking for a user-friendly Field Service solution that meets the above requirements, which is how we ended up with 9altitudes and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service," explains Cathy Desmedt, Facility Manager at Wase Werkplaats.

"The solution provides uniform registration throughout Wase Werkplaats, with a nice plan board, a user-friendly mobile application, automatic order generation and feedback to other programs such as Microsoft Power BI."

"Dynamics 365 Field Service thus replaces our previous way of working where we recorded maintenance tasks via Excel and on paper," said Cathy Desmedt. "As a result, we avoid mistakes and prevent the loss of maintenance documents."

"The solution provides uniform registration throughout Wase Werkplaats, with a beautiful planning board, a user-friendly mobile application, automatic order generation and feedback to other programs such as Microsoft Power BI."

Reporting through Power BI

Wase Werkplaats not only reports data from Dynamics 365 Field Service via Power BI, but also from their ERP system Dynamics 365 for Finance, the sales app Dynamics 365 for Sales and other applications that are not Microsoft related. "Power BI has the power and ability to manage all those databases/data sources, which is why Power BI is the reporting solution for us," said Joris Cornet, Finance Director at Wase Werkplaats.

"We used to work mainly through Excel for reporting, with the arrival of the new ERP system in the cloud we chose to run the reporting through Power BI," said Joris Cornet.
